PART-TIME COOK  
 Location:  OUR LADY OF FATIMA RETREAT HOUSE

 Our Lady of Fatima Retreat House is looking for a Part-time Cook to be responsible for assisting the Food Services Manager in preparing and serving scheduled meals of high quality and for a pre-determined number of guests.  The Cook will be expected to present Fatima meals and refreshments attractively, on time, and in a spirit of hospitality. The successful candidate must be available for a flexible schedule of about 16 to 32 hours per week. Hours may vary between morning shift (6 am to 2 pm) and afternoon shift (4 pm to 8 pm), Monday through Sunday, depending on the Retreat House schedule and which meal the cook is available to prepare and serve.
Applicants must love to cook, have good time management and communication skills, be attentive to detail, and have a heart for ministry and the mission of Fatima Retreat House. 

• Completes preventive and routine maintenance on all equipment
• Cuts grass and performs general gardening services
• Maintains trails and shrines
• Provides inside janitorial support services as needed
• Assists with room set-ups
• Provides snow removal services: shoveling or salting walkways
• Other duties as necessary to ensure to efficient functioning of the outdoor grounds

• Knowledge of grounds equipment operation, maintenance, and minor repair
• Good organization and planning skills.
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and to have complete mobility in the buildings and grounds.
• Ability to perform essential functions of the position without creating a danger to self or others.
• Ability to work with minimal direction. Self-motivated.
• General knowledge and janitorial supplies and their application.
• Ability to organize and manage workload to meet deadlines
• Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
• Willingness to foster the Church’s mission

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and work experience that allows the employee to perform the required work
• Must be able to understand and to comply with the Archdiocese of Indianapolis Code of Conduct
• Must be able to successfully complete the Archdiocese of Indianapolis Safe Parish Training
• Background screening required
• Valid driver’s license required
• While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to stand, sit, reach, stretch, walk, talk, feel, hear, and handle.
