Our Lady of Fatima Retreat House is home for and sponsor of the Step Up: Ignatian-12 Step Recovery Program for men and women who both live in sheltered housing and are in early recovery from addiction. This outreach ministry began at Fatima in the spring of 2014 and offers the opportunity for these men and women to deepen their relationship with the God of their own understanding which can lead to transformation in their lives.
Six Step Up Retreats are held each each year: three for men and three for women. They are given by a team of trained volunteers who have gathered regularly to build community, share their own spirituality, and deepen their own understanding of both Ignatian Spirituality and 12 Step Spirituality.
Participants must meet a certain criteria to attend and therefore open registration is not available for these retreats.
This ministry is executed by a team of volunteers and made possible by the financial support of generous donors. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer or learning more about this ministry, please contact Wendy Yerkes at [email protected].
